Riedel Crystal Sommeliers Riesling Grand Cru Zinfandel Wine Glass  The elongated 13 3/8 oz bowl of the Riedel Sommeliers Riesling/Zinfandel Grand Cru wine glass is a precision instrument, designed to emphasize the subtle characteristics of white varietals, as well as red zinfandel, sangiovese and chianti. Modern winemaking techniques allow the vintner to concentrate fruits so much that a young wine may seem one-dimensional when served in a small glass - a large bowl allows the wine to bloom and achieve complexity that may otherwise be missed. Stands 8 7/8 inches tall and holds 13 3/8 oz of fine wine. The Riedel Sommeliers Series was the first gourmet glass line of its kind and set the bar for today's hand-made glassware standards. Each fine glass is individually hand-made of over 24 percent lead crystal - the bowls are mouth-blown into a mold and the stem and base are crafted using 2000-year old techniques. Made in Austria. Hand washing is strongly recommended.
